Additional Information about Puppy Raising
Volunteer puppy raisers care for, train and socialize our puppies from eight weeks of age until professional training at about 18 months of age. During this time, we ask you attend puppy classes, provide socialization opportunities both inside and outside the home and feed a diet as directed by Canine Companions.

Additional Information about becoming a Breeder Caretaker
Only available within proximity to our headquarters in Northern California.

Provide care for adult male or adult female breeder dog throughout their Canine Companions breeding career. Breeder dogs are Labrador retrievers, golden retrievers, and crosses of the two breeds. Once the breeder dog retires, the breeder caretaker has the option to adopt the retired breeder dog.
